ERIXMAR is an Italian, non-asset-based supply chain and transport solution company. Our main services are air, ocean and land freight forwarding, customs brokerage and other management services.

 

We are seeking a highly motivated, enterprise minded individual with a focus on customer development plan to be based in our Shanghai – Greater China for our new 2020 Commercial delegation start up.

The role may include direct/indirect supervisory function of other employees with excellent career opportunity.

ROLE DESCRIPTION: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The Business Development function is responsible for the development and growth of sales for the assigned area/s; shares the responsibility of the trade P&L together with the GCA Management in Hong Kong and Corporate in Italy.

Has an active role in the budget processes for the area of competence.

Contributes to the Product/Service adjustment and/or creation based on experience and market needs in close cooperation with the Product Managers in Italy

Gives strong contribution to Italy Product Managers: rates negotiation, Shipping Lines to be used and taylor-made solution services to be proposed to clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ü  Hit sales quotas and goals as outlined by the Country Managers

ü  Agrees and travel to assigned areas to secure new businesses and deep sell existing customer base

 

ü  Coordinates sales/prices/service requirements among local sales, GCA Mngmt in Hkg and Italy. 

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sells logistics solutions to customers in accordance with Country Managements guidelines
  • Performs regular sales call to sell new and existing services to customers and potential ones.
  • Creates new business through contact with prospective customers
  • Maintains Customer Retention Management (CRM) as per companies’ policy
  • Uses and maintains all planning and customer reports.
  • Reviews and reports monthly sales performance
  • Reviews and reports monthly traffic statistics
  • Identifies market trends and competitive rate actions and communicates those trends to the Management at both ends
  • Analyzes, prepares and/or assists Sales force and facilitates the preparation of Requests for Quotations (RFQ) in strict cooperation with Hong Kong and Italy Product Managers
  • Understand and maintain Erixmar pricing and cost components
  • Any other duty including sales presentations, write sales proposals, policy implementation, suggests to Countries Mngrs marketing material
  • Manages the issue of proper SOPs and timely share them with Operations
  • Assists and facilitate operations with Customer Service activity whenever necessary
  • Performs and behave in strict compliance with Companies Business & Ethics Code
  • Performs any other duty related to the function as assigned by Managements

  • Ensures visibility of open tasks / actions
  • Maintains a permanent, constructive and hearty dialogue with customers and with all functions involved in the trade. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 4/5 years of the logistics transport with deep knowledge of Air and Ocean
  • Good knowledge of the Italian Market and verticals
  • Excellent organizational Skills
  • Good verbal and written English skills with ability to interface with important customers and partners
  • Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently
  • Able to maintain strong relationship with all stakeholders
  • Able to work in a culturally diverse environment
  • Italian and other languages are added advantages
